Tanoan Country Club

I utilized Tanoan for a holiday event and everything was fantastic. We were helped by Sunee and she literally did everything. It was so easy because we only had to choose the decor and food menu. The venue is very upscale and the staff was very professional and went out of their way to ensure everything was a success. If you want a stress free and easy time planning an event, Tanoan is the place to use.

We just had Sunday Brunch and it was amazing! This is a wonderful place to have a wedding or event. Food was good. The banquet room has awesome views of the valley and mountains. Wait staff was amazing! Ask for Summer, she is the best. They also had stuff for the kids to do. There was an Easter egg hunt, balloonist - Julianna Schultz n and face painting by Susan Gomez. They were amazing with the kids. I highly suggest this place for a fine dining events, special occasions, and of course golfing.

I’m sorry but I was not impressed at all with the service we received for our wedding at your club. The reasons being no one from the club helped with setting up the wedding. We had to get all our guests ourselves set up, arranged the wedding guests in the lines, we had to seat everyone. I have been to at least a dozen weddings and this was the first one we had to do all the work. The banquet staff looked like they had no desire to be there working. The bar staff did a good job, the food was good, and the view was awesome. But the view did have golf players EVERYWHERE! I’m sorry but we did not get our moneys worth for this event. If it wasn’t for the bar staff, the food, and the view, I would have rated Tanoan Country Club a big fat zero!

I had high expectations when we chose Tanoan country club as the Venue for our daughters wedding. I wanted to share my experience with everyone because I don't feel like my voice was heard when I was speaking to the sales team about some of the imperfections, and basic needs regarding service. The Venue was extremely hot. The air conditioning was not working properly and we had a few pregnant women who were our guests. One of them got so over heated because the wait staff hadn’t been going around to fill up the water pitchers that she was about to pass out. One of the groomsmen went to ask for a pitcher of water. The wait staff should have anticipated that guests were going to be drinking more water due to the extreme heat. It was hotter inside than the outside temperature. We propped the doors and windows but the wind came through and basically sent decorations flying. Simple table settings were not done properly and the grooms family did not even get Champagne for the traditional toast as they did not even have flutes set. When the server was asked about it he said “my bad can I just put some in your Goblet”. No one else at the table received champagne for the toast. Another issue with service was the buffet line ran out of plates. As the mother of the bride I was wondering why my guests were waiting for a while so I left my meal to go see. I was advised by my guests that there were no plates so I went to track down someone and found them sitting around the partition. I politely asked if they can bring more plates. At the end of the night the Bar was closing tabs and one of the guests was given someone else’s credit card. Due to the mix up I was left responsible for getting the cards back to both guests the next day. I expected better from Tanoan on this memorable day. When I brought my concerns up to the Sales team they made me feel like my complaints were not valid. Instead of empathizing with me one of them had the nerve to say to me that when she is out she always checks to ensure she was given her correct card. Honestly, I would do the same but this is not what I want to hear. I wanted some sort of responsibility to be taken. I wanted Tanoan to genuinely acknowledge my concerns and not keep saying everyone else’s day is perfect while I am the only one this has happened to. If it was an off day for them then they should acknowledge their failure and make it right. I do not recommend this wedding venue due to not only the lack of service but due to them not even caring to express their own responsibility in the issues. I would personally like to apologize to all of my guests for putting you through this and thank you all for being there for us.
